BATC covers a 10-county area including legislative districts for 40 state senators and 80 state representatives, which is 60 percent of the total body at the State Legislature. Local governments in BATC's jurisdiction include 10 county governments, well over 200 cities and townships, the metropolitan council, and numerous regulatory bodies. The multiple levels of regulation require BATC to be mobile and flexible in advocating policy on behalf of the homebuilding industry.
